Lyx Discovery (lyx.lol/discover) lists Discord servers that use Lyx. Listing is free. By listing a server you confirm you may manage it, and agree to these guidelines, the Terms and the Community Guidelines.
To be listed
- Lyx must be in the server, for as long as it is listed. If Lyx is removed, the listing is hidden straight away and comes back by itself after Lyx is added again and the checks pass.
- Lyx makes the listing's invite itself (in a channel the owner can pick) and makes a new one if it stops working. Lyx needs the Create Invite permission there.
- The server needs at least 10 members (Lyx owners can change this number).
- Neither the server nor its owner may be blacklisted from Lyx.
- If Discord marks the server as age-restricted, the listing must be marked 18+.
- Lyx re-checks these every 30 minutes. A listing that fails a check is hidden until it passes again, and the owner is told by Discord DM.
What a listing must be
- Honest: the name, descriptions, category and tags must describe the server as it really is.
- Free of links in the text (the Join button uses the server's invite) and of @everyone or @here.
- Not misleading: no fake member counts, fake giveaways, or claims to be official Discord, Lyx or a brand you do not run.
- Within the Community Guidelines: no scams, hate, harassment or illegal content, in the listing or in the server.
- Correctly marked 18+ when the server has adult content, following the 18+ Content Policy.
Review
Every new or edited listing is checked automatically and reviewed by Lyx's own AI model, which looks for scams, phishing, harmful content, impersonation, misleading claims and wrong 18+ settings. The AI only advises: low-risk listings that pass every check may be approved automatically, and anything flagged waits for a person on the Lyx staff team. See the AI Moderation Policy.
Staff can approve a listing, ask for changes, reject it, correct its 18+ setting, or remove it. The owner is told the outcome and the reason by Discord DM and on the dashboard.
Bumping
- Bumping moves a listing to the top. It can be done from the dashboard or with /bump in the server.
- A server can bump once an hour, or twice an hour with active Server Premium. The limit is checked by Lyx's database against its real Premium records, so it cannot be sped up.
- Only approved listings that pass the checks can be bumped. Every bump is recorded (who, when and from where).
- Using bots, alt accounts or scripts to bump, or to get around the limit, can lead to removal from Discovery.
Staff picks and Verified servers
- Lyx staff can feature servers they think are great as a Staff pick. Staff picks show at the top of Discovery with a Staff pick badge. Staff choose them; they cannot be bought or requested.
- Servers can ask to be Verified from the Discovery tab once their listing has been approved for 7 days and they have 100 or more members. Staff review each request, looking at the listing, reports about the server and how it is run, and approve or deny it with a reason. Verified servers show a Verified badge. Denied servers can ask again after 30 days.
- Staff can remove a Staff pick or the Verified badge at any time, for example if the server changes or breaks these guidelines. The owner is told.
- The official Lyx support server is listed by Lyx itself, marked Official.
Removals and appeals
Listings that break these guidelines can be removed. A removed listing stays on record and cannot simply be deleted and listed again.
The server owner can appeal a removal or rejection from the Discovery tab of the dashboard, explain why it should be restored and add supporting links. Staff may ask for more information, then restore the listing or uphold the removal. The owner sees the status on the dashboard and is told the decision by Discord DM. After an appeal is turned down, a new one can be sent 30 days later. Every decision is recorded in Lyx's staff log.
