About Lyx — the all-in-one Discord bot

The project started as a small moderation bot and grew into one bot that replaces the pile most servers end up with: security and AutoMod, verification, tickets and modmail, logging, leveling, analytics, music, feeds and AI tools. Everything is configured from Discord or from the dashboard at lyx.lol/dashboard, and every feature can be turned off.

Lyx is run by a small team of volunteers and maintained in the open. The bot is free to use. Server Premium and User Premium pay for hosting, the AI features and the music servers; public pages show ads, which is explained in the privacy policy. Nothing from your servers is sold, and no message content is used for advertising.

What we care about

Safety before features

Raid protection, scam filtering and permission checks ship before anything cosmetic. A server that gets nuked does not care about its level system.

No dark patterns

No fake member counts, no paywalled moderation, no “premium only” security. Premium adds capacity and extras, not protection.

Your data stays yours

Lyx stores what a server needs to work and nothing else. No IP addresses, no message archives, no selling data to advertisers.

Written for moderators

Every guide on this site is written from real moderation work: what to do in the first ten minutes, not what a feature list says.

How the site is put together

The guides cover running a server. The command reference lists all 87 slash commands with their options. The documentation goes feature by feature, and the status page shows whether the bot and API are up.

Bot

Discord.js, slash commands, one process per shard. Handles moderation, security, tickets, leveling and music.

Dashboard

Sign in with Discord, see only the servers you manage, and change settings with validation on every save.

Data

Postgres with row-level security. OAuth tokens are encrypted before they are stored.
