AI Terms

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These terms cover Lyx's AI features: /ask, /summarize, /translate, /announce, /embed, /ticket suggest, /modassist and the dashboard Assistant. They add to the Terms of Service. By using an AI feature you agree to them.

What you may not use the AI for

Lyx's AI is told to refuse these, and you must not try to get it to produce them:

Trying to trick the AI into breaking these rules, for example by asking it to ignore its instructions or to "pretend" the rules do not apply, counts as breaking them.

The AI can be wrong

AI answers, summaries and translations can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important yourself before you rely on it or post it. Lyx is not responsible for decisions made from AI output.

Limits

Each server gets a number of AI requests per day, more with Premium. Requests that fail are not counted. The AI can be busy or offline at times, and its features may change.

Your data

What the AI is given to answer a request, and what /ask remembers, is explained in the Privacy Policy. You can see or delete what /ask remembers with /memory.

If the rules are broken

Lyx may stop a person or a server from using AI features if they break these terms, without notice. Serious abuse can be reported to Discord.
