Placeholders
Unrecognised placeholders are left as written, so a typo is visible instead of silently blank.
{user}— mentions the member.{username}— plain username, no mention.{tag}— legacy username tag.{server}— server name.{memberCount}— current member count.
Plain text or card
Plain text is a normal message. The card layout puts the message in a panel edged with the colour you pick, using the newer Discord message components. Both honour the channel permissions: if the bot cannot post there, nothing is sent rather than something broken.
Preview first
/welcome preview renders the message with your own account as the sample member. The dashboard shows a live preview as you type, before you save.
One module switch
Welcome and goodbye live under the welcome module. Turning the module off disables both, even if each message has its own enabled switch.
