List your server
Open the dashboard, pick the server and go to the Discovery tab. Write a name, a short and a full description, pick a category, up to 5 tags and the language, and optionally the channel the invite should open. Lyx makes the invite itself and keeps it working, so Lyx needs the Create Invite permission there. Links are not allowed in the text; the Join button uses that invite.
Every new or edited listing is checked by Lyx and reviewed by Lyx's AI. Most listings go live within a few minutes; ones the AI flags wait for Lyx staff. You get a Discord DM when it is approved, or if staff ask for changes.
The checks
Checks run every 30 minutes. The Discovery tab shows each one, and Lyx DMs the owner if a live listing stops passing.
- Lyx is in the server. If Lyx is removed, the listing hides straight away and comes back by itself once Lyx is added again and the checks pass.
- Lyx could make a working invite (it makes a new one if the old one breaks).
- At least 10 members.
- The server and its owner are not blacklisted.
- If Discord marks the server age-restricted, the listing is marked 18+.
Bumping
Bumping moves the server to the top of Discovery. Use the Bump button on the dashboard or /bump in the server. A server can bump once an hour, or twice an hour with Server Premium. The dashboard shows when the next bump is ready and the recent bumps.
Staff picks and Verified
Lyx staff feature servers they like as Staff picks, shown at the top of Discovery with a badge.
Servers can ask for the Verified badge from the Discovery tab once the listing has been approved for 7 days and they have 100+ members. Lyx staff review each request and approve or deny it with a reason.
18+ servers
If your server has adult content, tick This server has 18+ content. Adult listings are labelled 18+ and are only shown to signed-in people who confirmed they are 18 or older and chose to see them; everyone else never sees them. Marking a server wrongly can get it removed. Details: lyx.lol/policies/adult.
Removals and appeals
Lyx staff can ask for changes, reject a listing or remove it for breaking the Discovery Guidelines (lyx.lol/policies/discovery). The reason shows on the Discovery tab. The server owner can appeal there; staff may ask for more information, then restore the listing or keep it removed, and the owner gets a DM with the decision.
