1. Information We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide the Lyx service:
- Discord User Data: User ID, username, avatar, discriminator (via OAuth2)
- Guild Data: Guild ID, name, icon, member count, roles, channels (when bot is added)
- Configuration: Server settings, automod rules, welcome messages, logging config
- Moderation Cases: Case records with moderator ID, target ID, action, reason, timestamp
- Audit Logs: Configuration changes with user ID, timestamp, before/after values
We do NOT collect: message content (except for moderation cases), DMs, voice data, or data from servers where Lyx is not added.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide moderation, automod, logging, and welcome features
- Display configuration in the web dashboard
- Enforce role hierarchy and permission checks
- Send test logs and preview messages
- Improve service reliability and debug issues
3. Data Storage
Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on secure infrastructure. All connections use TLS encryption. Service-role keys are never exposed to frontend code.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except:
- Discord API (required for bot operation)
- Supabase (database hosting)
- Cloudflare (DDoS protection, TLS termination)
- Legal authorities when required by law
5. Data Retention
- Moderation cases: Retained indefinitely unless server removes bot
- Configuration: Retained while bot is in server
- Audit logs: 90 days
- OAuth tokens: Encrypted, refreshed per session
Upon bot removal, server data is scheduled for deletion within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You may request data access, correction, or deletion by contacting [email protected]. Server owners can remove the bot to trigger data deletion.
7. Security
We implement reasonable security measures: TLS encryption, hashed secrets, rate limiting, input validation, and least-privilege database access. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
Lyx is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Discord requires users to be 13+.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the support server and dashboard.
